Today we'd like to feature an organization that we support. Doctors On Mission is an organization that originally started with just two people, a husband and wife team that believed God was calling them to use their their knowledge and skills as doctors to help meet the physical and spiritual needs needs of people in third world nations. Their strategy is to put medical mission bases in the poorest areas of third world nations. The network of doctors and support staff are then able to reach out to remote villages in the area in a radius of about 500 miles. The doctors and staff meet the physical needs of their patients, but they also pray with their and minister to their patients. Their goal is to change lives, families, society and the country through spreading the Gospel of Christ through Bolivia and beyond.
Doctors On Mission started in Bolivia, but they're looking to replicate what they've done in Bolivia in many countries in South America and around the world. Their medical ministry provides everything from dental care to vitamins, medical care and everything in between. Because there are few vegetables available in Bolivia, vitamins can be the difference between life and death, especially for malnourished children.
Doctors On Mission is a 501 (C) (3) non profit organization that operates on support from donors. If you'd like to support them, or if you'd simply like to learn more about their organization you can visit their website at doctorsonmission.org.
